Realising the Transformative Potential of the SDGs
PublicationsAs attention shifts from the overall vision of theĀ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development to the focus on data, monitoring and measurement of progress towards specific Sustainable Development Goals, there is a risk of losing sight of the big picture and concrete and ambitious transformative actions. A new report from the Institute for Global Environmental Strategies (IGES), “Realising the Transformative Potential of the SDGs”, examines the role of governments, cities, business, finance, and technology in triggering transformation, with a key message that we must not wait to take action until all indicators have been developed and all data has been collected.
