Registration for the conference will open in fall 2019. \nHosted by the Center for Green Schools at USGBC\, in partnership with the Green Schools National Network\, GSCE offers multiple ways to get involved with educational programming. Session proposals and peer reviewer applications are being accepted from experienced professionals in the areas of green schools; curriculum and education; district and school leadership; or sustainable design\, construction and operations. DESCRIPTION:Exiled to Nowhere: A Symposium on the Rohingya Crisis brings together survivors\, activists\, and internationally renowned experts to foster a better understanding of the crisis and explore possible paths forward. The symposium will be centered on the photography exhibit Exiled to Nowhere by documentary photographer Greg Constantine. This exhibit documents not only the plight of the Rohingya and how the tactics taken over time have led to the near destruction of this community\, but also shows how\, in spite of all that has been done to destroy them\, the Rohingya continue to find a way to survive and persevere regardless of the ground beneath their feet. This year\, we are hosting a full-day conference on Friday\, November 2nd at the Smith Memorial Student Union in downtown Portland.  The conference will focus on the humanitarian\, development\, and peace Nexus (the Triple Nexus) building on the growing recognition that humanitarian\, development\, and peace building efforts are complementary and need to reinforce each other\, to respond to volatile situations around the world.
