The COVID-19 pandemic crisis most direct impact is on health and human well-being. Additionally, the medical emergency and the public response to it – most importantly the unprecedented restrictions not only on the movement of people but also on a range of economic activities —is also having a dramatic impact on economic activity.
The United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) has launched three briefing papers targeting the social and economic impacts of COVID-19 as well as public policy recommendations. UN DESA is organizing a webinar to present the main findings of these three new briefings as well as to create an opportunity to exchange views with stakeholders and partners from all over the world.
