Peace Postcard Party: International Day of Peace

In recognition of the United Nations’ International Day of Peace, HI USA hostels around the country will host their annual Sleep for Peace program with a Postcard Party.  Guests and Portland’s Community of Travelers will be invited to consider the postcard topic: “Travel changes the way we see the world. Describe something you’ve changed your mind about since traveling and meeting new people.” The “Peace Postcards” will be gathered and sent to the United Nations en masse on September 27th, World Tourism Day; a physical representation of HI USA’s daily non-profit mission and commitment to peace building and a more tolerant world.

Enjoy local drinks and small bites while making new friends from around the globe. Must be 21+ with ID/Passport to drink alcohol. Free Event – Open to the Public.
