The Learning as a Living Process 4-week class, facilitated by Milt Markewitz, begins this Sunday. There is still some room and scholarship $$s is available, if you’re interested. It will be focused on what do we do to bring life to education, and what additional Professional Development and other courses need to be created.
Registration is available through the class sponsor, The Transformative Learning Foundation, with the following four (4) sessions from 10:00-11:30 am on Sunday mornings.
June 21th –The Earth and all its Systems are Alive, is a revelation to many of us in this culture, so we will look at the attributes of living systems and the life processes to which we’re all endowed. We’ll see that Nature is a set of emergent processes, integral to creation, with us in every moment, and gives great insights into a world of possibilities we may not currently be considering.
June 28st – An Appropriate Consciousness -Potential Aliveness, we have a guest facilitator, Unangan/Aleut Ilarion Merculieff, and we’ll look at when certain cultures disconnected from understanding the aliveness of the Earth what has resulted in terms what we’ve wrought, our current ethical dilemma, and our need to shift consciousness. We’ll understand more deeply some paradigm shifts we embodied in the first class.
July 5th – Bringing Life to Education, we’ll explore bringing life to education with guest Yvonne Vizina (Métis), as we discern Learning as a Living Process, and what brings and takes life in all our environments including renewing life on our planet.
July 12th — Student Aspirations for Animating Education, will be dedicated to the student presenting how they perceive Living as a Learning Process, in terms of creating interdependent, emergent relationships with all that surrounds them. Renee Beth Poindexter, Chair of the Transformative Learning Foundation, will join us to help us define the Professional Development we feel is required.
