Wolverine Tracking Project

Interested in the animals that live on Mt Hood? Love to snowshoe? Learn to read footprints in the snow while helping with a long term survey of rare carnivores on Mt Hood. Search for wolverine and wolves, study the distribution of rare montane red fox, and document other resident carnivores.

  • Develop skills in animal tracking and reading the landscape
  • Enjoy group snowshoe trips
  • Learn about wildlife
  • Help increase knowledge of rare carnivores

Trainings in November include both a classroom and a field session. Season cost: $65. This fee helps us run the project and includes the two training sessions plus a winter’s worth of mentoring in animal tracking.
