The Ecological Education Coordinator assists with managing the day-to-day activities of the program, including working with a wide diversity of prison inmates, teachers, and students, as well as updating and working with partners and funders, scheduling and coordinating classroom lessons and student field work, assisting the Ecological Education Program Director with grant proposals and management, and other duties.
This position will focus on Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE)’s Sagebrush in Prisons Project, a multi-state, multi-partner effort to improve habitat for wildlife that depend on the sagebrush ecosystem and engage diverse incarcerated people in pro-social action, conservation science, and vocational training.
Office Location: Corvallis, Oregon
Status: Regular, full time
Compensation: $18-22/hr depending on experience, plus benefits.
