Registration is now open for individuals and groups for the 2020 Green Schools Conference & Expo (GSCE). The event will be held March 2 – 4, 2020 in Portland, Oregon at the Hilton Portland Downtown. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from and network with educational leaders, green building professionals, nonprofit partners, and others who are passionate about the future of green schools.

GSCE is the only national event to bring together all the players involved in making green schools a reality: people who lead, operate, build and teach in U.S. schools. The conference is an opportunity for green schools leaders to share challenges, opportunities and lessons learned in their continued advocacy for healthy, sustainable schools. Registration for the conference will open in fall 2019.

Opening Keynote Speaker Announced!
We are excited to announce that Danni Washington will be the opening keynote speaker for the 2020 conference. Danni is a nonprofit founder, ocean science educator, TV personality, and social media influencer. She is also the first African-American woman of color to host her own science television series. Danni’s passions include ocean advocacy and science communication. At 21, she co-founded the nonprofit Big Blue & You with her mom to inspire and educate youth about marine conservation through the arts and media. She has hosted and/or worked on television programs including Untamed Science, Ocean GEMS, and Xploration Nature Knows Best. She is also the co-creator of Sea Youth Rise Up, a collaborative effort to elevate youth leadership in ocean conservation policy and advocacy on World Oceans Day.
Conference Programming
GSCE will offer five tracks of compelling education programming:
Track 1: Healthy School Environments
Track 2: Driving Cultural & Behavioral Change

View the full line-up of education sessions here. A number of these sessions will be approved for continuing education hours (this list will be available online soon).

Do you know parents, educators, green school practitioners or school environmental education or STEM partners who have an interest in green schools? If so, please share this information with them and mark your calendars for March 2-4, 2020!

We are thrilled to be celebrating our 10th annual conference in one of the most progressive areas of the country when it comes to green schools. I hope you’ll be able to join us.
