Development Drinks

Development Drinks is a monthly gathering hosted by GlobalPDX, for people interested in international development. This social event is meant to be a chance to connect with others and to learn about the work of GlobalPDX members. This month we are delighted to highlight Jonathan Jennings, Executive Director of Health in Harmony! Jonathan spent 10 years with Doctors Without Borders managing humanitarian programs in several African countries and in 2013 became the Deputy Executive Director of Doctors Without Borders Canada. Jonathan became increasingly dissatisfied with international aid programs focused only on helping people without addressing the root causes of climate breakdown and ecological collapse. Recognizing that human and environmental health are fundamentally intertwined, he followed his vision for change, becoming Executive Director of Health In Harmony in 2017.
