Organized by the Research and Transfer Centre Sustainability and Climate Impact Management (FTZ-NK) of the Hamburg University of Applied Sciences, the 7th online climate conference communicates current research results on climate change and its consequences. In particular, young scientists from all over the world are offered an opportunity to present their own research on a worldwide stage. The conference will also provide information on numerous concrete projects and initiatives that are currently being implemented, presenting good examples of global activities to protect the climate. A separate section informs the participants about funding and collaboration opportunities. Finally, a parallel program consisting of live webinars and a dedicated podcast series is also part of this unique virtual conference. By its comprehensive open access offer, this conference therefore contributes to closing the knowledge gap in the fields of climate protection (mitigation) and adaptation.
The 7th edition of the climate conference also has a one-of-its-kind ‘CLIMATE2020 Global Ambassadors’ program in order to nurture the talents of the young climate changemakers worldwide. More than 30 Ambassadors from five continents – Asia, Europe, Australia, Africa and America have been given a unique opportunity to be part of this mentoring program where they will boost their skills and expertise related to climate communications.
